Rodeo Bull Jumps Into Crowd At Canadian Finals (VIDEO)

Spectators at the Canadian Finals Rodeo were left shaken Friday when a runaway bull bucked its rider and jumped into the crowd, CNN is reporting.

Amateur video footage of the chaos shows four-year-old Rewind, the competing bull, scaling a steel security fence as audience members frantically flee their seats. One woman was hospitalized and three other people were treated on the scene.

Tyler Thomson, who raised the bull, told the Vancouver Sun that he believed Rewind, who weighs an estimated 1,600 pounds, may have been frightened by the lights and loud music, though he'd taken part in 10 rodeos over the summer. Rodeo officials said it was the first time in the event's history that a bull jumped into the crowd. Though Rewind will not compete in any additional events this year, organizers are looking into additional safety procedures.
