Authorities are looking for a man who they say has stolen thousands of dollars worth of the hair regrowth product Rogaine and other items from drugstores across the Midwest.

The suspect, who is bald, recently stole $847 worth of the medication and memory aid supplement Prevagen from a Walgreens in Mount Healthy, Ohio, police say. He has been linked to similar thefts from stores in Florence, Kentucky, as well as in suburbs of Cincinnati and Cleveland.

"We're scratching our heads on this -- no pun intended, I guess," Mount Healthy Police Department Detective Chris Jones told ABC 9.

The department issued on Wednesday a call for information and released surveillance footage of the alleged thief on Facebook.

Police in Florence posted a similar appeal the following day.

"This is the same male that is on video committing similar acts at drug store locations across the tristate and is believed to be responsible for several thousand dollars worth of stolen merchandise," Florence Police wrote.

Cops don't believe the suspect, who they say drives a white Jeep, is actually taking the follicle-growth products for himself.

"Our feeling is that he's trying to resell this on Craigslist, eBay or maybe at some type of flea market," Jones told local news station WKRC.

Anyone with information can contact Mount Healthy Police Department at 513-728-3283 or Crime Stoppers 513-352-3040.
