When it comes to cake, there are two types of people in the world: those that like rolled cakes, and those that despise them. Some of the editors on HuffPost Taste belong to the latter category. Or at least they did, until they saw what cuteness could be made with roll cakes by the hands of the delightful food blogger Dulce Delight.

Roll cakes are no longer just a quickly thrown together cake (sorry, that's what they sometimes look like), an after thought in the dessert world. Thanks to Dulce Delight, we see that roll cakes can be much more fun and celebratory than regular cakes -- and it's all thanks to the cute patterns that can be baked on. Dulce Delight demonstrates how to do it with hearts, and offers the pattern for free on her blog, but if hearts aren't your thing you can add on any pattern you can dream up.
