Ron Jaworski Gaffe: ESPN Announcer Says 'Shit' On Monday Night Football (VIDEO)

ESPN Announcer Curses On Live TV During Monday Night Football

Apparently, we weren't the only ones who heard Ron Jaworski accidentally swear during the Monday Night Football broadcast of the Patriots-Dolphins game.

“That’s one Chad [Henne] would love to have back. He knew he had the one-on-one matchup going down the right sideline. Shit, you have to get rid of this ball just a split second quicker,” he said halfway through the fourth quarter

Shortly after Jaws' gaffe, several high-profile viewers took to Twitter to make sure they heard correctly.

Just rewound it to confirm, but yeah, Jaworski just said (re: Henne's bad pass), "Sh*t, you have to get rid of the ball a split sec earlier"less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Later in the game, Jaworski apologized for cursing on the air. While Jaws' apology may not save him from some sort of disciplinary measure by ESPN -- or even the FCC -- it seemed to be more than enough for most fans. As Sports Illustrated writer Joe Posnanski pointed out, anyone who watches television these days is exposed to content far more disturbing than the word that batted lead off for George Carlin's original 1972 list of "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television."
