Ronda Rousey Becomes The First MMA Fighter Ever To Cover Iconic Boxing Magazine

And only the second-ever woman to do so.

Ronda Rousey, badass bantamweight champ and the biggest star in the UFC, just got honored with another incredible accolade.

According to Fox Sports, Rousey will become the first MMA fighter ever to land the cover of iconic boxing magazine The Ring. The UFC star is only the second woman to be featured on the cover, after boxer Cathy "Cat" Davis in 1978.

Rousey's menacing stare covers the January 2016 issue, which also includes the The Ring's rankings of the 100 world's best fighters.

Rousey said it was "truly an honor to be the first MMA fighter on the cover of ringtv."

Rousey recently landed the cover of Men's Fitness Australia, becoming the first woman to do so. In the face of backlash, Rousey told The Huffington Post there was nothing wrong with covering a men's magazine.

"There’s plenty of women who have been on the cover of GQ and Esquire, and those are men’s magazines," said Rousey. "Just because I’m not a man, it doesn’t mean I can’t have helpful input about what could be related to the health of a man. I’m a fighter and the principles of fighting are applicable to everyone."
