Ronda Rousey's acting resume just keeps on growing.

The UFC bantamweight champ is expected to take on the role that was originally played by Patrick Swayze, reports Variety. The character, James Dalton, was a bouncer hired to "tame a dirty bar" in Missouri, which sometimes required a few punches. Given Rousey's experience with fighting, she seems like the perfect person to tackle the role.

Production on the remake is set to start in 2016 and according to Variety, MGM is meeting with writers for the script.

"Road House" was released back in 1989, and though it wasn't a massive box office success, it's garnered quite the cult following today. And since remakes and reboots are pretty much the only thing studios seem to be pumping out these days, this project is right in line.
