Rory McIlroy, Caroline Woznaicki Dating: Golf Star Confirms Relationship

It's official! Rory McIlroy confirmed to the Associated Press that he is dating the world's No. 1 ranked women's tennis player Caroline Wozniacki.

"Why it's going so well is that we have so much in common," the 2011 U.S. Open champion said. "Obviously, different sports, but we're pretty much in the same position at a young age and we can talk about things that probably a lot of 21, 22-year olds can't talk about. It's nice to have someone that sort of understands what you're going through."

Rumors of their relationship began spreading in late July when a tennis blogger saw them together at a restaurant in London. McIlroy, who was said to have broken up with his girlfriend of four years before the British Open, also exchanged Twitter messages with Wozniacki.

After McIlroy disappointingly finished the PGA Championship at 11-over par, he immediately flew to Cincinnati to visit Wozniacki and watch her play in a WTA tournament.
