Rosie O'Donnell Returns To 'The View' And Doesn't Hold Back

AT LAST: Rosie Returns To 'The View'

Rosie O'Donnell returned to "The View" on Friday, and it was as if she'd never left.

It was O'Donnell's first appearance on the show since her infamous brawl with Elisabeth Hasselbeck in 2007 caused her to step down abruptly as its moderator. That ugly episode was only fleetingly referenced during O'Donnell's comeback special, but her lively, provocative energy was evident throughout the hour.

After O'Donnell admitted that it felt "weird" to be back, the panel launched into a run through some of the big stories of the day. The sparkiest moment came towards the end, when Whoopi Goldberg asked O'Donnell if she missed the show.

"Sometimes I do," she said, adding that what she didn't miss the backlash she got if people disagreed with her.

"I went through that just this week," Barbara Walters said.

"With the Woody thing?" O'Donnell said, referencing Walters' controversial comments about Woody Allen and sexual abuse. (O'Donnell said she "totally believed" Allen's daughter, Dylan Farrow.)

Walters seemed to want to move on. O'Donnell didn't.

"I don't want to have the whole argument again," Walters said. "We can edit it right out!" O'Donnell said.
