Rush Limbaugh went after President Obama on Monday, calling his plan for Syria "Operation Shuck and Jive."
Obama has been making the case for U.S. military action against Syria. He initially said that he was in favor of a "limited narrow act" in response to the country's chemical weapon attack, and has promised that the U.S. will not put boots on Syrian soil. Limbaugh mocked Obama for not saying anything about trying to topple Bashar al-Assad, calling the president's tone "childish" and "dangerous."
"Bush had shock and awe," said the radio host. "We're looking at shuck and jive here... The Obama operation in Syria, Operation Shuck and Jive, because that's what that is."
The phrase "shuck and jive" has been used in association with Obama before, and has been scrutinized by critics who point to its racial connotations.
