Rush Limbaugh: Sam Donaldson, Neil Munro's Critics Are 'Ignorant' For Citing Obama's Race (AUDIO)

Limbaugh Blasts Obama Heckler's Critics

Rush Limbaugh blasted Neil Munro's critics — Sam Donaldson in particular — for suggesting that the reporter heckled President Obama because of his race on Monday.

Munro, the Daily Caller's White House correspondent, was swiftly denounced by members of the media for shouting questions during Obama's remarks on immigration reform on Friday. Tucker Carlson cited ABC News' Sam Donaldson, known for his aggressive questioning, when defending Munro — a comparison that Donaldson rejected.

On Monday, Limbaugh fiercely defended Munro, saying that he was merely doing his job. "Imagine heckling the president by asking him a question!" he exclaimed. Limbaugh expressed disbelief at the backlash against the reporter.

He went on to rip Donaldson's suggestion that Obama's race was a factor in Munro's behavior and Limbaugh's opposition to the president. Donaldson had told The Huffington Post that people oppose the president "for who he is, an African American" and singled Limbaugh out for encouraging "disrespect."

Limbaugh hit out at that claim in an email over the weekend, and responded again on his Monday show.

"How utterly ignorant of these supposed great minds to suggest that any of this has anything to do with Obama's skin color cause I'm gonna tell you it doesn't. As far as I'm concerned, I got over his skin color before he was elected," he said, adding that all that mattered were Obama's "ideas" and "policies."

"I couldn't care less about this guy's skin color and for these guys to run around and make this kind of accusation, it is cheap, it is predictable, it is cliched, it is ignorant and it is wrong," Limbaugh thundered.
