Russell Brand is not a bitter ex-husband -- actually, he's a protective one.
The comedian, 37, stopped by Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show on Feb. 4 and opened up about how he feels now that his ex-wife Katy Perry, 28, is dating John Mayer, 35.
So, how does he feel? Well, he's indifferent.
"Doesn't she know that he's a worse womanizer than you?" Stern asked Brand, who replied, "Worse or better, depending on how you view it."
"He's a better womanizer, then," Stern stated, before Brand back-tracked, yelling, "Hold on, I resent that! I'm world class!"
But although Brand was an active participant in Stern's "who's the better womanizer" argument, when it comes down to it, he is always nervous about Perry getting her heart broken. (Let's not forget, Mayer has dated everyone from Jennifer Aniston to Taylor Swift).
"You have to let go of the instinct to protect someone once you divorce them," Brand explained, later telling the radio host, "So help me God, Howard Stern, I will not compromise my ex-wife's vagina for the sake of ratings! That woman was perfect from top to bottom."
We couldn't agree more, Russell.
As for the "Rock of Ages" star's love life, Brand joked that he "really likes" 50-year-old Demi Moore, although he "hasn't made love to her yet" -- "it's a matter of time," he added -- and that he'd "like a romance."
"I'm not dating anyone actually," Brand admitted, saying that he's simply looking. "Not so much playing the field, just going through life, meditating, doing yoga, concentrating on this TV show and trying to find a nice wife."
