WATCH: Hail Storm In Russia Turns Deadly

Russian authorities have announced the deaths of two children after a freak hail storm hit Siberia this weekend.

In the video above, recently uploaded to YouTube, the hail storm can be seen pummeling the beach in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk, Russia. According to AccuWeather, temperatures reached 98 degrees before the powerful storm broke open.

The two girls who were killed, aged 3 and 4-years-old, were taking shelter with their family in a tent when a tree fell on top of them. They suffered traumatic brain injuries that proved fatal.

Russia has experienced unusual weather this summer, including temperature drops in Russia's eastern Ural region that resulted in rarely seen July snowfall on Saturday.
