Ryan Anderson, Gia Allemand's Boyfriend, Speaks Out After Her Death: 'Every Day Is A Challenge'

Gia Allemand's Boyfriend, Ryan Anderson, Says Life Without Her Is 'A Roller Coaster'

When "Bachelor" star Gia Allemand tragically died last August, many grieved. But her boyfriend, Ryan Anderson, who some say had fought with Gia the day she took her own life, says life without her is "a roller coaster."

"Every day is a challenge," the 25-year-old said. "It helps to be here. My family's with me. To be here with my teammates really helps a lot. But it's a roller coaster."

Anderson, a basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans, spoke during the team's media day and said it would have been very difficult to get through the days after Gia's death without God and Jesus Christ. He also said being back with his teammates and working out had helped.

"I'm really glad that coach asked me to come back when he did," he said. "I've been here for a few weeks now and just being around the guys, being back at the gym and having some sort of routine back, it helps a little bit."

Anderson said that his family and Gia's family plan to start a foundation in her honor. "The thing is, here, that something like that just doesn't happen for no reason. I know that 100 percent. I know that there's a huge plan here, and a lot of people are going to be helped through this. We're in the process of starting something great for her," he added through his tears.
