It already seemed like Ryan Seacrest was everywhere. Well, get ready to see him even more.
The trade publication, citing an unnamed source, said “final tweaks” were being worked out on a new contract for Seacrest’s “Idol” homecoming.
However, the outlet interviewed another source who claimed the talks were in the early stages and that Seacrest’s crammed schedule presented obstacles.
Interviewed by TMZ on the street, Seacrest remained coy about a possible return.
“I love that show,” he said in the video segment above.
“I just got this amazing new position,” he added, referring to his gig with Ripa. “I’m excited, though, that it’s coming back.”
Meanwhile, ABC’s acquisition of “Idol” has rankled Ripa, the New York Post reported. She fears it will siphon attention from her ABC show with Seacrest and could possibly compromise his priorities, a source told Page Six.
On Tuesday, ABC announced a revival of “Idol,” the talent contest which ran 15 seasons on Fox. Its finale aired in April 2016.
In addition to “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” Seacrest has a daily iHeart Radio program, hosts gigs for E!, and fronts the New Year’s Eve show on ABC. Did we mention he’s an executive producer of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”?
