With spring just around the corner, many of us are trying to incorporate the new season into our homes. But if you're struggling with where to start and how to get the most bang for your buck, have we got a real treat for you.
HGTV designer and Target Style Expert Sabrina Soto joined our very own Senior Editor Brie Dyas on HuffPost Live to discuss the ways to give our homes a seasonal makeover.
To get started, Soto suggested first concentrating on the living room, but instead of swapping out your big pieces, like tables and sofas, focus on freshening up the space with accessories. "Your living room should be very comfortable. It should reflect you and you should be proud of it," she said.
Another important thing to tackle during a makeover? Clutter. Both Dyas and Soto agreed that getting rid of all of the "stuff" we have in our homes is crucial to lightening up your look. "My rule is: If you haven't touched it in a year, get rid of it," said Soto.
