The Screen Actors Guild have chosen their nominees for the 20th annual SAG Awards, and some of 2013's greatest shows and roles were seriously snubbed.
"Parks and Recreation" was notably absent from the list of Outstanding Comedy Series and its star/creator, Amy Poehler, didn't make the cut for Female Actor in a Comedy Series, either. Last year, Poehler was nominated for her role and lost to friend and fellow glorious weirdo, Tina Fey.
Critically acclaimed Netflix original, "Orange Is The New Black" was also a glaring omission from the list of Outstanding Drama Series (it entered itself as a drama). Despite landing top spots on numerous "best of" lists, the Taylor Schilling-fronted show was left out to dry.
Tatiana Maslany, whose acting chops were noticed when she played umpteen number of clones on "Orphan Black," got no recognition either. And if you ask many critics, that's a flat-out disgrace to 2013 television.
The list of snubs goes on and on -- "Mad Men," "The Good Wife," Robin Wright's performance in "House of Cards" -- but since the nominees were made public just one day before the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announces the 71st Annual Golden Globe nominees, we have to wonder: Will they overlook these great shows too?
