SAGE's 30th Anniversary Toys Party Raises Over $270,000 For LGBT Elders

Awesome!

The 30 Anniversary Toys Party, which took place on Sunday, December 13, raised over $270,000 for Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) and received thousands of donated toys for children.

The event was hosted by Robby Browne, David Tufts and current SAGE board member Chris Kann. Celebrities in attendance included Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Corcoran and Ellie Kemper.

Founder and co-host Robby Browne told The Huffington Post: "I am so proud of what the Toys event has become -- a gathering of thousands of people in our community to form a special family of choice for one night in order to give back to the charities that touch our hearts. We provide over 5,000 toys to children in need and it is a blessing to be able to give them joy during the holiday season. Furthermore, SAGE has been such a huge part of my life and I am pleased that all ticket sales benefit this great organization devoted to helping LGBT elders."

SAGE is the world’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults. To learn more, visit http://sageusa.org.
