Sally Field's Simple White Dress At The 1980 Oscars (PHOTOS)

We think so!

Sally Field has given us decades worth of performances, each better than the next. From the kindhearted Sister Bertrille on "The Flying Nun" to the tough-loving mom in "Mrs. Doubtfire," there isn't a role that she can't play.

In this 1980 photograph, we see Hollywood's golden girl accepting an Academy Award for Best Actress. We love her decision to wear a simple white strapless dress (something that is still very much in fashion 30 years later). Though we might skip the Farrah Fawcett-esque hair and sheer floral bolero today, Field could easily recycle the look for this year's Oscars with a bejeweled statement necklace and delicate updo. (The 66-year-old is nominated for the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in "Lincoln" -- we hope 2013 is just as lucky for her as 1980).
