Sally Field Slams Donald Trump’s Brazen Dishonesty In Heated Interview

"If you look at his history, there is no evidence that he can do one single thing that he says he’s going to do."

Sally Field recently joined Twitter for one reason only: to figure out how Donald Trump got elected.

During an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix show, the actress questioned just how ― and why ― people would elect someone like him to office.

“[He] does not stand for anything,” Field said to generous applause from the audience. “If you look at his past, if you look at his history, there is no evidence that he can do one single thing that he says he’s going to do. Not one single thing!”

The actress didn’t stop there and took the president-elect to task for his extraordinary hypocrisy.

“He has shown to be everything that he accuses and has accused Hillary Clinton of being. It is now evident he is all of those things,” Field said.

“I don’t think that all the people who voted for him are bad and horrible people, I just don’t understand it,” she said, going on to question the usefulness of the Electoral College, wondering how Clinton can lose the presidency while earning 2.5 million votes over Trump.

“They call this a democracy and yet the people are not getting the representation that they voted for.”

Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

To watch the rest of Field’s segment, tune into her “Chelsea” episode on Netflix, which is currently streaming.
