Teens Shot Llama With Bow And Arrow, Slashed Her Throat: Cops

Three teens in Trinidad, Colo., have been arrested in connection with the killing of a llama.

Sally the llama was found near Atchison Canyon with her neck slashed, according to 9 News. A necropsy found she had been shot with a bow and arrow prior to the slashing.

Sally escaped from her owner's home last week and was spotted at the Trinidad State Junior College campus on April 16, a few days before she was found dead.

Cody Kissman, 18, and an unnamed 17-year-old boy were arrested Monday and charged with felony animal cruelty charges, ABC 7 reports. Another 17-year-old boy turned himself in on Tuesday and was charged with felony conspiracy to commit cruelty to animals.

Police say a fourth suspect may still be charged.

The teens allegedly posted a picture of themselves with the dead llama to Facebook, bragging about killing her.

Fox 21 described Sally as "a popular llama."
