AndroidHD has released a new video showcasing a "day in the life" look at the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the plus-sized successor to last year's 7-inch Galaxy Tab.

The new Galaxy Tab, a 10.1-inch challenger to Apple's iPad 2, will be equipped with a dual-core CPU and powered by Google's tablet-optimized Andorid 3.0 (aka Honeycomb) platform. The device will support 4G connectivity, as well as Adobe Flash Player. At 1.32 pounds, the Galaxy Tab will travel. Samsung has announced neither a price nor a release date for the new Galaxy Tab.

AndroidHD's video, which plays more like an advertisement than a hands-on look, runs just under 12 minutes and demonstrates some of the Galaxy Tab 10.1's special features, such as video conferencing and digital media capture (via dual webcams). The video also shows off the tablet's handling of Google Voice Search, Google Goggles, Google Earth, and GPS navigation with voice command.

Check out the video (below) and leave share your thoughts about the new Galaxy Tab in the comments below. To asses a few more Apple challengers, view our slideshow of 7 iPad 2 alternatives.
