Forget the Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz and Ghirardelli Square. We're taking you on a local's tour of San Francisco.

GlobalYodel.com recently chatted with nine San Francisco residents. They shared with us their favorite spots to grab a beer, a baguette or a killer fried chicken dinner. The city dwellers also gave us tours of their neighborhoods, community gardens and favorite hiking spots. They told us what they loved about San Francisco. And what they hated. (Nothing. OK, maybe the weather.)

Click through the following slideshow for locals' perspectives on San Francisco. You'll learn where to get a cup of coffee near Alamo Square and which Dogpatch restaurant serves the best burger. We'll even tell you where the locals hang out and wait for the fog to clear and reveal an epic panorama of the city.

Sorry San Francisco correspondents, but we couldn't keep these city secrets to ourselves.
