Insanely Detailed Sand Castle Pops Up In The Middle Of NYC

If you can't go to the beach, bring the beach to you. That's the logic that guided artist Matt Long in his recent pop-up art installation in New York City.

The artist and host of Sand Masters on the Travel Channel gave New Yorkers a taste of surf life when he sculpted an insanely detailed sand castle right in the middle of the bustling urban jungle. Mayor Bloomberg himself paid a visit to the might feat of sandy architecture, which was commissioned by Water Street POPS! to draw attention to post-Sandy recovery.
