Within the 7-block radius, there are adorable cafés, Instagram-ready restaurants, and cute local shops. I'm always discovering something new through all the nooks and crannies.

BARRIO ITALIA is like the baby sister of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Except, she has no man-buns, less fuss, and more chill (ok, maybe a few man-buns).

Within the 7-block radius, there are adorable cafés, Instagram-ready restaurants, and cute local shops. I'm always discovering something new through all the nooks and crannies.

Here is a photo tour of why Barrio Italia is my favorite Santiago neighborhood!

Café Survenir. Av. Italia 1489, Local 3.

My friend and I stopped by Café Survenir for lunch. Our waiter read off the 3 set menu of the day and I got juice, soup, mixed seafood with couscous, and tea.

We chilled, talked, and enjoyed this dope vibe. We forgot to ask for the price initially but my bill came out to be only 4,000 pesos ($6 USD). Say what? It was a lot cheaper than what I was expecting. I will definitely be coming back here!

Café de la Canderlaria. Av. Italia 1449 L4, Providencia, Santiago.

Café de la Candelaria is spacious enough for me to claim a whole table for 4 hours, without feeling guilty. I love sitting in the back corner with my laptop and headphones on.

The trees, plants, and vines on the wall give this place an airy and fresh feeling. I still need to come back for brunch during the weekends (a rarity in Santiago). And, the decor is everything.

Cafetería ArteSano. Av. Italia 1133, Santiago.

Look at those tiles (drool). This café has a beautiful high ceiling with black & white photographic arts for sale hung around on the walls.

Silvestre Bistro. Caupolicán 511, Ñuñoa, Santiago.

Best restaurant for set lunch of the day. Hands down! I took one of my students here because she just moved here from South Korea. She was so impressed with the food and the ambiance. The meat was delicious and the ingredients tasted so fresh. Each set menu was 4,900 pesos ($7 USD). Super affordable.

RESTAURANTE CASA LUZ. Avda Italia 805, Santiago.

PERFECT DATE NIGHT. So cool - can I even say that? But, it is!

I can't get enough of this neighborhood. I don't think I can sum up this place without over-saying adorable. But, it is ADORABLE!
