In a loving tribute to her dad, singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan's new album Shine On was largely inspired by the passing of her father.
The single "Song For My Father" explores Sarah's relationship with her dad:
He was my rock. I knew that no matter what I did or said he would be there for me. In hindsight, I've realized that we don't really have many people in our lives who are absolutely there for you like that.
Sarah invited fans to share their own stories and photos of their father's for the music video.
The result is an emotional, heartfelt mix of photos and quotes set to Sarah's acoustic version of the song about her dad Jack, who you see at the end of the video.
"Song For My Father" is beautiful gift honoring dads who are still with us, and dads who remain forever in our hearts.
