We already knew that "Cruel Intentions" was getting the TV reboot treatment, but what's better is that the original Kathryn Merteuil will be back to claim her rightful throne.

That's right: Sarah Michelle Gellar announced on Instagram yesterday that she'll be reprising her role as Merteuil -- aka the "Marcia fucking Brady of the Upper East Side" -- from the original film, and we couldn't be more excited.

To share the news, Gellar posted a split photo of herself with director Roger Kumble and executive producer Neal Moritz. The top image shows the trio on the eve of production for the TV show, while the bottom shows them the night before filming the movie in the '90s. Isn't it just beautiful when things come full circle?

"That's right 'everybody loves me, and I intend to keep it that way' #kathrynmerteuil is back!!! I am happy to say that I will be joining them (and @nbctv) on the new #Crueltv," the actress wrote in the caption.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, the new NBC show will center on Bash Casey (Taylor John Smith), the son of the late Sebastien Valmont (Ryan Phillippe in the film) and Annette Hargrove (Reese Witherspoon's character). After finding out about his dad's promiscuous past through his hidden journal, Bash sets out on his own journey fueled by sex, money and power.

Meanwhile, Kathryn will continue her sneaky scheming as she tries to gain control of Valmont International and her nephew.

Sounds juicy.
