Sarah Palin 'Would Love To See A Woman On Both Sides' In 2016 Presidential Race

Former Alaska Gov. and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin weighed in on the 2016 race in an interview with "Extra" airing Tuesday.

Palin said she gets asked "quite a few times" a day if she's going to run in 2016. She said "2016 is a long time away," but admitted that was a "typical politician" answer.

When asked if America is ready for a candidate like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is widely expected to run but has yet to make an official announcement, Palin said she wants more women to aim for the White House.

"I would love to see a woman on both sides of the aisle shooting for that top spot," Palin said.

Palin was promoting the second season of her show "Amazing America with Sarah Palin," which premieres January 15 on the Sportsman Channel.
