Sarah Palin Didn't Do Very Well Stumping For Donald Trump In Wisconsin

She did get some laughter when she said, "Trump talks rationally."

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) campaigned on behalf of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Wisconsin on Friday, and it went badly.

Palin's speech at a Republican gathering in Milwaukee fell flat and earned little applause from about 750 attendees, according to the Journal Times. The Washington Post's Philip Rucker reported that Palin got some laughs when she said, "Trump talks rationally."

The crowd was largely supportive of Trump's rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who recently got the endorsement of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) and leads the businessman in state polls ahead of Tuesday's primary. Radio host Vicki McKenna also slammed Trump during the event for criticizing Walker.

Wisconsin, where 42 delegates are up for grabs, could be a critical state in denying the reality TV personality the necessary delegates to win the Republican nomination.
