During an appearance on Fox News on Thursday night, Sarah Palin took aim at President Barack Obama, saying she finds his speeches on the issue of civility "nauseating."
"I think it's disgusting," the former Alaska governor said. "And at this point, you know, with all due respect to the office of the presidency, when I hear Barack Obama speak at this point, especially when he lectures about ethics and civility, it's nauseating to me."
The remarks were made in the context of a controversial ad released by the pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA. The spot draws a connection between Romney and a woman's cancer-related death.

The implication is clear: Had Romney's firm not put Soptic out of his job, he would have been able to provide health care coverage for his wife, who hid the extent of her illness as a result of their financial struggles, according to Soptic.
Since the ad was launched, a number of reports have called into question its accuracy, pointing out that Soptic's wife actually died in 2006 -- years after the GST Steel plant was shut down. Furthermore, Soptic's wife had her own employee-sponsored health insurance, whereas his policy through GST Steel was actually her secondary coverage. An injury forced Soptic's wife out of her own job, thus leaving her without health insurance.
Obama campaign spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter emphasized that it would violate the law if the campaign coordinated with Priorities USA and signaled the president's team had no involvement with the release of the attack.
Palin accused the media of failing to fully investigate whether there was any coordination between the Obama campaign and the super PAC, accusing members of the press of "prostituting themselves" in their response to the ad.
"They’re basically prostituting themselves for a job, for interviews, for access to the Obama administration and the campaign, and they’re letting this go on, and it is illegal," she said. "It violates the PAC laws. What I would like to see happen is for just one reporter in the mainstream media who knows the truth about this to stand up and do the worthy and ethical thing and let Americans know that there was collaboration and also that this is a far-fetched, despicable ad that misrepresents Gov. Romney's position."
