Savannah Mayhue Missing: Florida Police Ask For Help Locating Teen (UPDATED)

Fla. Teen Left Mom A Note, Hasn't Been Seen In A Month (UPDATED)

Authorities in Walton County, Fla., are asking for the public's help in locating a missing teenager.

Savannah Amanda Mayhue, 16, has not been seen since last month. According to the Walton County Sheriff's Office, the teenager left a note for her mother stating that she was going away for a few days and for her mother not to worry about her.

UPDATE: Authorities located Mayhue in Okaloosa County on Thursday night. According to a spokesperson for the Walton County Sheriff's Office she is safe. No further details have been released.

Original Story:

The last contact anyone had with Mayhue was on Aug. 30, when she called a friend from a blocked number and told the friend not to tell her family that she was still in the area.

The sheriff's office said they suspect Mayhue may have left the state and traveled to Georgia where she has relatives. Authorities there have actively searched for the teen but have been unable to locate her.

Savannah Mayhue is described as a white female, 5 foot 2 inches tall, approximately 100 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She has braces on her teeth and a scar over her left eye. Mayhue was last seen wearing a red tank top and red shorts.
