With four kids (three girls, and one boy) finding great ways to save money on clothing is important, especially as we prepare for a change of season. Although this indecisive Ohio weather tends to give me a bit of wiggle room, eventually I have to take the plunge.
I know that unlike most, I am a bit lucky, because with three girls, hand me downs become an option for the girls, especially for my two older girls because they are so close in height. But it is quickly becoming clear that Faith's very petite frame is something she has in common with none of her sisters, which means I should prepare myself for the reality of shopping for multiple children. This means arming myself with money-saving tips.
Thred Up and Save Money
Companies like Thred Up allow you to not only save money, but to make a few bucks in the process. With families, like mine especially, between grandparents, aunts, uncles, and more you may have a lot of clothes that your children have outgrown, simply sitting around collecting dust. Simply order one of their free clean out kits, pack it full of gently used pieces that your little ones have outgrown, and get cash, store credit, or donate. So you literally make money to save money.

Swap With Your Friends
I swap with my sister-in-law, we both have girls around the same age, so it makes a lot of sense to swap a few times a year. It is a great way to refresh your child's wardrobe on a budget and swapping with friends and family means you have some kind of an idea of what you are getting and whether or not it is something you would be alright seeing your child in.
Make it even more interesting by hosting a get together and asking everyone to bring at least 10 pieces each.
Coupons are not just a great way to save money on your groceries, I shop online a lot and love using coupons. There are a lot of stores that may have a sale going on, and have coupons that you can add on top of that to double your savings. I love discount true for Kohls Coupons, as well as coupons for Babies R US, Amazon, and more.

End of season sales are a great way to shop ahead and save a few bucks. Jacqueline Curtis loves end-of-season sales because they happen a few months before the end of the actual season, meaning you can pick a larger size and allow your children to wear some of the pieces and store it all away at the end of the season.
