The twists and turns kept coming all the way through the winter finale of "Scandal." After being blown away to learn that Huck had been the man behind the assassination attempt on the president, this week it was revealed that it hadn't been him after all. It had been his girlfriend from AA, Becky. He was there to clean up -- she'd set him up to take the fall for the shooting.
But Huck was the name Verna Thornton had. She betrayed Olivia's trust to save her seat on the Supreme Court. "I could give you my letter of resignation, or I could give you the name of the man who tried to kill the president; the most wanted man in the world."
Only, it wasn't the right guy.
Verna's word was enough to bring the full force of the government on Huck, though. He was taken down by the FBI and told he was being held under the Patriot Act. All Olivia could do was stand there and watch in horror.
It just keeps getting messier as "Scandal" continues on Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST, returning with new episodes on January 10, 2013.
