'Scary Movie 5': Lindsay Lohan & Charlie Sheen Sign On To Star In Horror Spoof Without Anna Faris

Lindsay Lohan & Charlie Sheen To Team Up For New Film?

As if we need any more proof that the world is ending in 2012, Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen have reportedly both signed on for "Scary Movie 5."

E! Online confirms that the troubled "Mean Girls" starlet will play a part in the horror spoof, which also stars Ashley Tisdale. Though E! reports that Lohan has yet to officially ink the deal, the move would be a good sign for her career.

The 26-year-old recently wrapped production on "Liz & Dick," Lifetime's Elizabeth Taylor biopic, and she is already signed up for "The Canyons" -- a Bret Easton Ellis film in which she'll play across porn star James Deen. Lohan also appeared in Richard Prince's short art film, "First Point." As of now, it looks like all signs seem to be pointing toward a Hollywood comeback worthy of its own original Lifetime story.

From "The Parent Trap" to "Mean Girls," Lohan was once hailed as one of the industry's top rising stars. However, years of tabloid attention, drug use and legal troubles, tarnished her once promising career. Now, Lohan's on a mission to prove her haters wrong. Yet, events like passing out from exhaustion while filming "Liz & Dick" are sure to give future filmmakers pause.

Meanwhile, Sheen -- despite being killed off in "Scary Movie 4" -- will reportedly be back for the fifth film in the "Scary Movie" franchise. Sheen's own career has been frayed by drug use and poor decisions. The former "Two and a Half Men" star, then the highest paid man on television, went off the rails following a winter 2011 drug binge, going on radio rants, co-habitating with two young "Goddesses" and throwing nasty words at his show's executive producer, Chuck Lorre. After being fired from the hit CBS show, Sheen landed his own series -- "Anger Management" -- on FX.

According to E!, "Scary Movie 5" wil be a complete reboot of the franchise. Unfortunately for "Scary Movie" fans, Anna Faris will not be back for this new installment. Look for "Scary Movie 5" to hit theaters on Jan. 11, 2013.
