Brian Posehn And Scott Aukerman Discuss Old Pal David Cross, High School Jokes (VIDEO)

One of IFC's more inventive ideas lately was to turn Scott Aukerman's "Comedy Death-Ray" brand into an interstitial interview series that airs during their bloc of "cult comedy" programming that includes "Arrested Development," "Freaks and Geeks," and "Mr. Show with Bob and David."

Aukerman, a former writer and performer on "Mr. Show," sat down with comedian Brian Posehn, who was also on the HBO sketch series before hitting it big with "Just Shoot Me," "The Comedians of Comedy" and "The Sarah Silverman Program."

In this "Death-Ray" clip, they talk about their mutual friend David Cross, including some light ribbing for his role in the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movies. In the next clip, Posehn shares the worst thing he ever said in high school.

"Comedy Death-Ray" interviews air on IFC every Monday and Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. EST. Aukerman's podcast has since been retitled from "Comedy Death-Ray" to "Comedy Bang Bang," and that podcast, as well as Aukerman's podcasting network Earwolf, is expected to partner with Funny Or Die starting in September.
