Former Republican senator Scott Brown has officially joined Fox News as a contributor.

Howard Kurtz tweeted the news on Wednesday. Soon after, the New York Times' Brian Stelter wrote that Brown will make his debut on "Hannity."

Earlier, Politico's Mike Allen had reported that Brown was in talks with the network, which is undergoing a bit of a rebranding at the moment. Fox News has cut ties with commentators Dick Morris and Sarah Palin, and CEO Roger Ailes recently said in an interview that he wants to attract more Latino viewers to the channel.

Brown lost his race to Elizabeth Warren in the November elections. There had been speculation that he would run to replace John Kerry once Kerry became Secretary of State, but he chose not to. He joins a long list of former senators and politicians to join the Fox News stables, including Palin, Rick Santorum, Evan Bayh, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee and, most recently, Dennis Kucinich.
