Scott Rogowsky Asks People To Sign Petition To Stop People From Stopping People To Sign Petitions (VIDEO)

WATCH: Petitioning People To Stop Petitioning People

You know that awkward moment when you see one of those canvassing clipboard people on the street ahead of you? And you pray that they won't notice you? That they won't accost you to help the environment, or support gay rights or some other noble cause that you'll feel guilty ignoring on your way to get lunch at Au Bon Pain?

Well, New York. Meet your new hero. Scott Rogowsky has a new petition that could put an end to all the harassment. Watch as Rogowsky walks around Union Square asking passersby to sign a petition that would ban people from stopping people on the street to sign petitions.

"Do you have a moment to prevent people like me from asking you if you have a moment?" he says. "Do you have a moment to stop this? What's happening right now?! Isn't it annoying?!"

He's going to send the petition to Bloomberg, obviously. Godspeed, Scott.
