Scuba Divers Do Harlem Shake, Prove Dancing Underwater Is Really, Really Hard (VIDEO)

Scuba Divers Do Worst Harlem Shake Version Ever?

As fans around the world rush to produce their own "Harlem Shake" videos, a group of divers from Cancun, Mexico, have decided to take the famous dance to the open ocean this week.

Ten scuba divers attempted to dance as crazily as humanly possible in an underwater environment, undoubtedly confusing the local sea life.

Diver Jorge Tapia told the Associated Press that the group of divers "were amongst friends, and having a good time."

Tapia added that an international group of scuba enthusiasts took part in the shoot at the National Marine Park's sub-aquatic museum, according to the report.

While we appreciate the effort, the scuba version doesn't hold a candle to the popular version featuring members of the swimming and diving team at the University of Georgia.

The takeaway from all this? It's really, really hard to dance underwater.
