Sean Bean Gives His Opinion On Those Jon Snow Rumors

You know nothing, Papa Stark.

Again, warning: "Game of Thrones" spoilers are coming.

Sean Bean knows a thing or two about how Westeros treats honorable men from the North: His "Game of Thrones" character Ned Stark was among the first to get the literal ax on the show, just nine episodes in. So it's not a stretch to think that he might have an opinion on the fate of Jon Snow, Ned Stark's bastard son nephew, who was last seen bleeding out in the snow after being stabbed by his fellow Night's Watchmen.

Bean was asked whether he thinks Snow actually died at a press conference for his new BBC drama "The Frankenstein Chronicles" -- and he sort of hedged his bets.

"It kind of didn't look like it, I have to admit, but who knows? Anything could happen," Bean said. "I guess that's the big question."

"It used to be: Who's Jon Snow's dad? Now it's: Is Jon Snow really dead?," he continued. "But I think he probably is. What do I know?"

Is that last question a coy reference to Ygritte's take on Jon Snow? Could be. Because if Bean really thinks that Jon Snow is dead, it's pretty clear that the answer is "nothing." Kit Harington has been spotted many times on the set of Season 6, and not just as a corpse, so it's become abundantly clear that his character either survived the assassination attempt or will find a way to come back from the dead.
