Sean Bean has been cast in TNT's "Legends" pilot, according to Deadline. Brendan Fraser was originally attached to the role, but left the project in October. Fraser was also expected to executive produce the pilot -- no word yet on whether Bean will take over those duties too.
In the pilot, produced by "Homeland's" Howard Gordon, Bean will play Martin Odum, a spy who is adept at undercover missions because of his ability to transform himself into a different person depending on the job. The project is based on Robert Littell's novel of the same name. Bean's last lead role was on Season 1 of HBO's "Game of Thrones," but maybe this character will have a little more longevity.
