Sean Hannity Urges Ashley Judd To Run: 'It's Going To Be Entertaining As Hell' (VIDEO)

'It's Going To Be Entertaining As Hell'

Fox News host Sean Hannity made "a personal plea" to U.S. Senate hopeful Ashley Judd on Thursday: "Run, Ashley, run!"

Hannity urged to the actress and social activist to ignore naysayers who are seeking other candidates for the race in Kentucky -- if only for entertainment value.

“If she was running in New York or Massachusetts -- totally different story. She's running in Kentucky. Kentucky elected Rand Paul, and she's not going to win,” Hannity said. “And I want her to run because it's going to be entertaining as hell."

Politico reported on Wednesday that former President Bill Clinton and other powerful Democrats are encouraging Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) to step in and mount a bid to unseat the incumbent, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R). Some Kentucky Democrats have also expressed unease with Judd's campaign, citing her celebrity status and far left-wing views as reasons for concern.

Even though Judd hasn't announced her plans yet, Republicans have already been targeting her -- and GOP strategist Karl Rove said his attacks would only increase if she runs.

American Crossroads, the Rove-backed super PAC, released an ad in February calling Judd a "Hollywood liberal" and questioning her commitment to the state of Kentucky.
