Sean Hunter Brown: Surf Photography From Laguna Beach To Debut At Sawdust

PHOTOS: The Ocean Has Never Looked So Beautiful

Sean Hunter Brown will show you the ocean in ways you've never seen before.

For more than 27 years, Brown has been a surfing enthusiast, but only recently has he begun to show his unique perspective of the water through photography.

Trust us, the work he produces with his Nikon D7000 changes the definition of a white-water view.

The Laguna Beach-based arborist has always been interested in nature. "I got excited about environmental stuff-- protecting oak trees in California. I loved being outside and I loved trees so I got my college degree in horticulture," he tells Neon Tommy.

It was a natural progression from a passionate observation of the outdoors to being able to create a portrait of the wave. For Brown, the process of waiting on the right wave, is "like a treasure hunt every time," reports Neon Tommy. It's hard to believe he has no formal photography training.

But you guessed right: we're not alone in our admiration for his work. Sean Hunter Brown will debut his work at the 46th Annual Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach. The show will run from June 29 through September 2, 2012 with admission costing $7.75 per adult.
