Twitter Goes In On Selena Gomez For Careless Response To 'Famous' Feud

Gomez seems to make light of #BlackLivesMatter in a deleted tweet.

Twitter wasn’t having Selena Gomez’s apparent callout of Kim Kardashian Sunday after the reality star released footage of Kanye West’s phone call with Taylor Swift about his “Famous” lyrics.

It all went down on Sunday night’s episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” when the show covered the ongoing saga between West and Swift. Kardashian defended West, who has long upheld that he both told Swift she would be mentioned in his song “Famous” and she agreed to it.

“[Taylor] legitimately, quote, says, ‘As soon as I get on that Grammy red carpet, I’m gonna tell all the press I was in on it,’” Kim told Kourtney Kardashian. “Just another way to play the victim. Definitely got her a lot of attention the first time.”

After the show, the reality star showed the world exactly what happened when she posted videos to Snapchat of West on the phone with Swift.

This is the the proof!!! This is Kanye and Taylor's phone call where she says that she's ok with the FAMOUS line #IMadeThatBitchFamous

Celebrities started speaking out in defense of one camp or the other, with Selena Gomez seemingly weighing in, too.

However, when a Twitter user called out Gomez for not using her voice to support the Black Lives Matter movement, the singer dismissed the suggestion in a since-deleted tweet.

Even Los Angeles Times reporter Gerrick Kennedy added his two cents.

Some were even surprised by “Kill Em with Kindness” singer’s remarks.

And #SelenaGomezIsOverParty began trending.

Gomez ended her comments with two more tweets.

A rep for Gomez was not immediately available to comment.
