Selena Gomez Breaks Her Silence Post Rehab, Thanks Fans For Their 'Unconditional Love'

Selena Gomez Breaks Her Silence After Rehab

Selena Gomez finally addressed her two-week-long rehab stay for the first time, thanking fans for their support.

On Monday (Feb. 10), the 21-year-old singer and actress posted a photo of herself on a boat, which she captioned:

"I've done everything I could to the best of my ability. Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me."

Last week, Gomez's reps confirmed that the former Disney star checked into The Meadows recovery center in Wickenburg, Ariz., for "emotional issues" and "partying," but denied she was there for substance abuse treatment.

A few weeks before entering rehab in January, Gomez canceled her Asian and Australian leg of her Stars Dance tour amid rumors that she was partying too hard, followed by reports she was suffering from Lupus.

According to TMZ, Gomez left treatment just 14 days into a six-week program, despite objections from the center's staff. The "Come and Get It" singer apparently left rehab with promises to return after she had finished promoting her new movie, "Rudderless," at the Sundance Film Festival, but decided she had already managed to address her issues.

Though Gomez's reps were adamant that the singer did not enter treatment for substance abuse, sources who claim to be close to Gomez told TMZ she sought treatment for alcohol, pot, and Ambian dependance.
