Call Selena Gomez the queen bee: The 21-year-old covered "Royals," 16-year-old singer Lorde's Billboard smash, during the Vancouver stop on her Stars Dance Tour on Wednesday night.
Lorde's song has become a sensation since its release: Just this week it hit the top of the Billboard Alternative charts, making the New Zealand import the first woman in 17 years to achieve that honor. (The last was Tracy Bonham in 1996.) Lorde is expected to release her first studio album later this year. While fans wait, they can listen to Gomez's rendition of the catchy and Lana-y "Royals." (The Gomez take on "Superbass," however, is still preferred here at HuffPost Entertainment.) The full cover version of "Royals" can be found here; Instagram video of Gomez's performance is below.
