WATCH: Self-Stirring Pot Invented In Japan

We love kitchen gadgetry, but this one may take the cake ... or soup? Japanese dentist Hideki Watanabe has invented a pot that stirs itself, thanks to a series of ridges on its sides.

The product is being called Kuru-Kuru Nabe, or “pot round and round.”

According to a roughly translated article on TV Tokyo, the grooves cause the water to boil in such a way that creates a vortex. It also produces more even and efficient heating, and less foaming means the pot is less likely to boil over.
