Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) stepped up to the Democratic National Convention podium on Thursday prepared to attack GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney with an unexpected weapon: humor.
In a speech focused on Romney's inexperience in the foreign policy arena, Kerry, who was lambasted in his 2004 presidential campaign for being drab and uninspiring at times, showed off a sharp tongue that drew laughs from the audience.
