Senators Carl Levin, Debbie Stabenow, To Snyder: Emergency Manager Law Is Dividing Michigan

Levin, Stabenow Blast Snyder On Emergency Managers

LANSING -- Michigan's two U.S. senators have sent a strongly worded letter to Gov. Rick Snyder that says his tough new emergency manager law is "igniting tensions in our local communities and dividing our state."

Senators Debbie Stabenow, D-Lansing and Carl Levin, D-Detroit, tell Snyder they hope he will oppose any effort by the state Legislature to pass new legislation that would nullify an ongoing ballot initiative to have the emergency manager law suspended and repealed.
