Seth Meyers ripped the GOP’s hypocrisy on Thursday.

The “Late Night” host took a closer look at the Republican Party’s threats to paralyze a Hillary Clinton presidency, should the Democratic nominee win power on Tuesday. And what he found was ugly.

Meyers said Republicans were “using increasingly unhinged rhetoric” in a bid to keep Clinton from the White House — with many “even threatening to impeach her without any evidence of a crime before she ever takes office.”

“And if they can’t do that, they’ll settle for the next best thing,” he added. “Preventing her from filling any vacancy on the Supreme Court for her entire four year term.”

After speculating what President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland has been doing since his nomination in March, Meyers pointed out the double standards in the GOP’s stance. After all, it was the Republicans who were so insistent on waiting until after the election to fill the current vacancy, so that the American people could “decide” who would fill the seat.
