There will soon be a new boy in town, and he’ll surely steal Shakira’s heart.
The Colombian star finally confirmed her second pregnancy last month, and now her mother Nidia Ripoll has revealed to Spain's Hola magazine that the couple are expecting another baby boy.
The Spanish-language publication spoke to the singer’s parents during their visit to Barcelona on Sept. 9. The grandparents said they were very happy about the news.
“Yes, another boy. A playmate for Milan,” Ripoll told Hola.
When asked about the new baby’s name, however, the grandmother said they knew nothing about what the parents had in mind.
Last month, Shakira confirmed she was expecting a second child with her soccer player beau Gerard Piqué in the Spanish-language edition of Cosmopolitan. Shortly after, the star also took to Twitter and Facebook to break the news to all her fans.
Shak and Piqué welcomed their son Milan into the world in January 2013. The Colombian singer and the Spanish soccer star met on the set of her music video for her World Cup anthem “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” in 2010.
Rumors of the singer’s second pregnancy began to swirl after her July performance at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
