A much-anticipated photo of Milan Piqué Mebarak, pop star Shakira and soccer player Gerard Piqué’s new baby boy, has finally arrived. The boy's own father went ahead the paparazzi and published the first image of his son, wearing his first sneakers, engraved with his name.
Piqué seems to think it would be funny to publish photos of his child in pieces to maintain the expectation, so he, of course, decided to start with his feet.
Milan was born in January 22 at 9pm in Barcelona, Spain, by a scheduled caesarean section, and weighed approximately 6lbs. 6 ounces. Shakira and Piqué dreamed their son would be born the day of both their birthdays, Feb. 2, but since that was not possible, they opted for the 22, because it was a good number.
"The name Milan means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification," Shakira said in a press release.
On the morning after the birth, Piqué attended his regular soccer training with the Barca where he received congratulations and applauses from his teammates.
At the end of the practice the Spanish soccer star shared with the press he feels extremely happy with the arrival of their first son, and confessed both parents cried a little when they first saw their son.
He also said the newborn's mouth looks very similar to his own. But for that we suppose we'll have to wait for the arrival of the another photo to see if it is true.
